Alkmini Basakarou
Alkmini Basakarou balances a career in law with a growing dedication to music. She is an associate at PotamitisVekris, focusing primarily on arbitration, with additional experience in commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and dispute resolution. Alkmini holds an LLB and an LLM in Civil Law and Modern Financial Transactions from the University of Athens, both earned with honors, and is admitted to the Athens Bar Association.
In music, her journey was reignited through her participation in Marina Satti's CHÓRES in 2020, which inspired her to explore traditional, folk, and old Greek music. She has since performed in numerous productions of the Greek National Opera, including The Murderess and Domna’s Song, and, more recently, in the summer of 2024, she joined the chorus of Iketides, a collaborative production by the Neos Kosmos Theater and Theatro Technis. Her solo work reimagines traditional Greek music infusing it with her distinct singing style and contemporary aesthetic references.
