Ioanna Varra is a finance lawyer qualified in Athens and New York, currently practicing in London. She specializes in advising clients on bond issuances as well as banks and originators in asset-backed securities transactions. Ioanna completed her undergraduate studies and first LL.M. with first-class honours at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, before pursuing a scholarship-funded LL.M. at the University of Chicago Law School. Prior to moving to London, she lived in Vienna, where she focused on cross-border debt capital markets transactions. Outside of work, Ioanna very much enjoys cooking, baking, painting, a good movie and conversation. She used to enjoy swimming but now she’s mostly about hitting the treadmill and occasionally squeezing in strength training.
