Yannis Georgopoulos

Attorney-at-law (Athens Bar Association). Holder of a Master’s Degree (LL.M.) in Intellectual Property Law and a doctorate (Dr.iur.) from the Heinrich Heine University of Düsseldorf, Germany. The subject of the dissertation is the permissibility of audio samples in music selling websites from the scope of copyright law. Post-doctoral researcher and consecutively academic fellow (Civil Law seminar: «Special mechanisms for compensation») at the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University, Athens (Department of Private Law, A) from 2019 to 2023.

His books include “The floating charge according to Greek Law N. 2844/2000” (2023, Sakkoulas Publications) and “Issues of multi-person accountability in the Greek Civil Code” (2024, Sakkoulas Publications). Teaching assistant at the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University, Athens since 2023.
